10 Simple Ways to Boost Your Day

Eat from the rainbow.  Yes, find something red, orange, yellow, green, blue AND purple to get into your meals this week.  And skittles don’t count.

Stand tall.  It’s a great way to work out your core every minute of every day.  No gym required.

Do a walking meeting.  Conference rooms are so 2000.  If you really want to step it up, try a biking or running meeting.

Mix up your workout tunes.  New tunes often equals a new kind of workout!  What song do you love that’s missing on your workout mix?

Breathe at a stoplight.  Don’t check your phone, take a breath instead.  This is much easier if your phone is in the glove box (where I now put mine).

Touch your toes.  A forward fold is a proven de-stressor that you can do anytime, anywhere.  Except at a stoplight.

Light candles at dinner tonight.  They somehow make the food taste better.  And the company look beauteeeeful.

Write a letter.  I got a letter in the mail last week, and it made my week.  It’s such a simple way to brighten someone’s day.

Call an old friend.  Make new friends, but keep the old.  And remind them that you love them.

Take stock.  Think about what made you happy today or this week.  Write it down…thank someone…express gratitude, however you can best.

What simple things do you do on a daily basis to live a healthier life?

  1. I LOVE the walking meeting. I’ve started doing that with friends instead of drinks/coffee. My new favorite thing!
